Life Aboard

Fill your days with a refreshing morning swim or enjoy your coffee with the pelicans diving for their breakfast right off the bow of the boat. A catch up over breakfast on the plans for the day ahead – snorkeling and kayaking, exploring the shoreline collecting shells, or just sunbathing on the foredeck listening to your favorite music. After a relaxed lunch, an afternoon siesta in the shade or another swim over the coral reef nearby, chasing schools of colorful fish darting around you. A late afternoon hike up the nearest green peak, or a competitive board game in the cool of the saloon.

Watch the sun slowly set from the top deck as you celebrate with the captain’s special cocktail for the evening, before a sumptuous dinner sharing today’s adventures and the memories being made. A final nightcap under the stars and then slip between cool sheets, dreaming of the sunny skies and aqua blue waters waiting for you to do it all over again tomorrow. Each day is yours…to relax, explore, unwind, reconnect.

A cooked breakfast is served every morning, followed by a two course lunch, afternoon tea or cocktails, and a 3 course dinner. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day, and all meals are served in our fully air conditioned or open to the breeze, saloon.

Morning coffee and evening cocktails are typically served on the upper deck, or floating in the ocean off of the back of the lowered dinghy platform in your private salt ocean pool! For those wanting the opportunity to eat ashore occasionally, please ask about our local fare meal plan – the famous BBQ’d lobster on Anegada, or the Pirate Show at Leverick Bay are two food events not to miss.

We carry a wide range of water toys on board, including two double kayaks, 2 SUP’s, fishing gear, wake boards, water skis, knee board, floating mats, and even a floating island! While we do offer a range of snorkel gear (including a limited selection of kids gear), if you have your own that you know you are comfortable wearing , it is worth considering bringing them with you. Due to insurance and local regulations, only the crew are allowed to drive the RIB.

Fishing is allowed from the boat (though on a catch and release basis only), but BVI regulations do require that you obtain a fishing license for each person older than 18 wishing to fish. Licenses can be arranged through your crew with at least 2 weeks notice. We also partner with Ocean Surfari for exhilarating deep sea rendezvous fishing excursions, and we can arrange bone fishing on the flats of Anegada.

Diving is extremely popular in the BVI, with famous sites such as the Wreck of the Rhone and the Indians. While we do not allow diving directly from the boat, the crew will be happy to arrange rendezvous diving, which is available at many different locations and ranges from Discover Scuba entry level courses, to escorted dives for certified divers. The dive boat will come alongside to collect any divers for a morning or afternoon dive, and rendezvous with the boat and any non divers later in the day.

The BVI offers a wide range of hiking, with short coastal jaunts to rigorous mountain adventures. There are also plenty of opportunities for spa trips, shopping, bar hopping, renting scooters and exploring all the sights and sounds of the islands. Your crew will be happy to make recommendations.

The BVI hosts a variety of events each year from August Emancipation Festival to the competitive BVI Spring Regatta. We are also happy to host special events on board, such as vow renewals or birthday milestones, as well as corporate hospitality trips.
